Suspected Chatsworth drug peddlers in court

Two suspected drug dealers nabbed in Chatsworth are due to line up in court on Thursday.
Police seized an assortment of drugs from a property during a bust on Wednesday.
Spokesperson for the Hawks in KZN, Simphiwe Mhlogo says crime intelligence and Durban metro police teams carried out an undercover operation after they received a tip-off.

"They swooped into the premises and a search was conducted. During the search, members found heroin capsules, pieces of crack cocaine, mandrax tablets and crystal meth to the street value of approximately R58 680 The two were subsequently arrested and charged for dealing in drugs.
"Police further seized R1 080 in cash suspected to be the proceeds of crime. The arrested suspects are expected to appear in the Chatsworth Magistrate's Court."
Earlier this week, police arrested five suspects and confiscated R500 000 worth of heroin when officers intercepted vehicles transporting the drugs between Wentworth and Bluff.
