Stage 2 load shedding makes a comeback
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Eskom has confirmed that it will implement stage 2 load shedding on Wednesday.
The dreaded power cuts were originally only due to start at 4pm.
But stage 2 will now be implemented by the embattled power giant between 7am and 4pm.
It will then be followed by stage 3 that’s due to last until midnight, as per the schedule.
Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokwena says the higher stages of load shedding through the day are due to the delay in the return of generating units.
She added that it’s unclear whether this pattern will continue for the rest of the week.
"Eskom will publish a full update in the afternoon.”
