Slain uMvoti official laid to rest today

The uMvoti Municipal official shot dead in his office in Greytown last week is to be laid to rest today.

Thobani Ndaba, a senior traffic officer, was the Acting Director of Community Services. Transport Minister, Blade Nzimande, is expected to attend Ndaba's funeral. Ndaba's family, friends and colleagues will say their final farewells at the Pietermaritzburg City Hall.
The service is expected to get underway at 9-o'clock. Nzimande has condemned the attack calling on the criminal justice system to arrest the perpetrators and ensure they face the full might of the law.
Police Minister Bheki Cele visited Ndaba's family on Sunday. He said getting to the bottom of the case will be treated as a priority.
