MUT student killed at residence identified

The student that was killed at one of Mangosuthu University of Technology's residences in Durban has been identified as Xolile Mbatha.
The 23-year-old's body was found in the Ark Royal Residence in South Beach on Sunday morning.
It's emerged she was an Electrical Engineering student.
Police say Mbatha was stabbed, allegedly by someone she knew.

MUT's management has confirmed the suspect is also a student at the institution.
He is said to be on the run.
Management has appealed to staff, students and anyone else with information on the incident to help police with their investigation.
