Man accused of gunning down Durban cop to remain behind bars

A man accused of gunning down a police officer will remain
behind bars until his next court appearance.
Thembelani Khuboni was arrested in a joint operation between the Hawks and the police in uMlazi on Wednesday.
He is accused of killing eThekwini metro police officer Xolani Cele
The Hawks' Simphiwe Mhlongo says Cele was shot several times while sitting in his car in Umlazi K section.

"A case of murder and robbery was opened at the Umlazi police station on Saturday after a metro police constable was fatally shot.
"A suspect briefly appeared in court and was remanded in custody as the case was postponed to 13th of Novemeber. It will only develop if we have more arrests in the same matter."
