Ilembe water supply may be disrupted as repairs underway
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Communities in the iLembe District Municipality on the north coast are being urged to use water sparingly in the coming days.

This after two pipes leading from the balancing distribution reservoir burst yesterday.
Areas including Stanger Manor, Townview, Kearsney and Shakashill will be affected.

The municipality’s Elias Bhengu says technicians are working on the issue.
"The interruption has not kicked in yet because when the break happens - the levels were still quite high. They were 80% and 90%. Most areas are not yet affected. If repairs take longer than anticipated then supply will start getting affected," Bhengu said.
