Bodies of two security guards found in KwaMashu

A murder investigation has been launched after the bodies of two security guards were found in their vehicle in KwaMashu, north of Durban.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says local police were alerted to a shooting at the corner of Amanzimtoti and Ilovu roads in the early hours of Monday morning.
"Upon arrival at the scene, police found the bodies of two security officials aged 35 and 47 years inside the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds on their bodies."

"They were both declared dead at the scene. The other 31-year-old victim sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital for medical attention. It was established the victims were robbed of their pistols."
Officers are also investigating cases of attempted murder and robbery.
