Bloemfontein toddler mauled to death in another pit bull attack

Free State police say they're still gathering evidence on
the circumstances surrounding another deadly pit bull attack in the
province.
A three-year-old boy was mauled to death in Henneman on Sunday.
Police say the toddler was playing in a neighbour's yard when the dog attacked him.
He died at the scene.
The attack in Henneman comes a few days after a Roseview Primary School pupil, 8-year-old Olebogeng Mosime, was attacked by the neighbour’s pitbull in Vista Park near Bloemfontein.

Mangaung Deputy Mayor Mapaseka Mothibi-Nkoane has revealed that strict measures lie ahead for pet owners as the metro moves to implement specific municipal by-laws for dog owners.
Under those municipal by-laws -- dog owners in Mangaung will need a licence from January.
