Zozibini Tunzi pays tribute to the late Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst
Zozibini Tunzi has shared a heartbreaking message in honour of Cheslie Kryst, who fell to her death from a high-rise building in New York.
South African beauty queen, Zozibini Tunzi, has joined scores of people in sending their condolences to the family of Miss USA 2019, Cheslie Kryst.
The 30-year-old died on Sunday after falling from a 60-story building in New York. Cheslie reportedly lived on the ninth floor of the building. She was reportedly last seen on the 29th-floor terrace.
An NYPD official told E! News that her death appears to be a suicide. The official cause of death has not been released.
Zozibini says she is "devastated" by the news.
"I didn't sleep a wink, caught in between not believing the news and trying to make sense of what is happening. You were supposed to send me photos of the outfit you were going to wear to a wedding this past Saturday and all the details that happened at the event. You took me by surprise Queen. I am not ready for a world you don't exist in," Zozi wrote on Instagram.
The 28-year-old added that she hoped Cheslie was resting easy. "You meant everything to so many people and you forever will. You made a mark in this World and touched so many lives. We celebrate your life. I love you so, so much my forever friend and forever Miss USA."

Zozibini got to know Cheslie after she was crowned Miss Universe 2019. The beauty queens shared an apartment together during their reigns.

Former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow (née Nel-Peters) also paid tribute to Cheslie.
"Devastated and in disbelief. Rest in peace beautiful, Cheslie. Prayers and condolences to your sweet family," she wrote on her Instagram Story.
