Zahara releases new single inspired by her pain

Listen to Zahara's new song which inspires hope.
South African superstar Zahara has just released new music.
‘Nyamezela’, which means to persevere, is the lead single off her upcoming album, ‘Nqaba Yam’.
It was released on Friday, 7 May.

In the song, Zahara talks about how she has had to persevere in the midst of pain.
The SAMA award-winning singer lost her elder sister Nomonde Mkutukana in March.

The death of her sister comes a few years after she lost her little brother, who was gunned down in a gang fight.
In 2019, Zahara was hospitalised for liver disease.
These are just some of the painful moments she has openly spoken about in public.

The 'Impilo' hitmaker is now using music to heal, but to also inspire those who are going through tough times.
