Zahara asks for help with financial woes: 'Even if it’s as little as R100’

Zahara is putting her pride aside and doing what she can to save her home from being reposessed.
South African singer Zahara is doing whatever she can to ensure her money troubles do not leave her homeless.
According to a report in the City Press, the bank is on the verge of auctioning the 'Loliwe' hitmaker's Gauteng home. She has allegedly been unable to make payments on her R1.9-million Roodeport house for months.
Like many artists, the past two years have been difficult for the singer due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Zahara told the Daily Sun in a recent interview that she is reaching out to her fans for assistance. "Even if it’s as little as R100. I’m open for help from anyone!” she was quoted as saying.
The 33-year-old is reportedly also hoping that Kaizer Chiefs can help her with her predicament. According to the publication, she wants to ask the football club to let her use their stadium for free.
Zahara allegedly wants to raise funds by hosting a concert at the stadium. She added that things took a turn for the worse when her sister died in 2021. With her sister gone, she is now the only person her family is relying on.

It's not the first time Zahara has reportedly had trouble paying her home loan. Several reports claimed that the bank also tried to repossess the home in 2019.
The singer's latest home drama comes a few weeks after the star revealed that a home intruder stole six of her SAMA trophies.
She kept the awards on a custom shelf in her home. The past few months have been rocky for Zahara but her fans are hoping she overcomes her difficulties.
"I really don't like what's happening to Zahara, she's sooo talented, she doesn't deserve all of these..." one Twitter user wrote.
