"Your talent was beyond!" Connie Ferguson proud of Shona's international award nod

Shona Ferguson has been nominated for a "best actor" award and his widow Connie Ferguson couldn't be prouder.
The Ferguson household is celebrating some exciting news. Late actor Shona Ferguson has been nominated for ‘Best Lead’ in a drama series at the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPA).
The awards are taking place in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 24.
Shona has been nominated for his role in Netflix's six-part series, 'Kings of Joburg'. His wife, Connie Ferguson, celebrated his nomination on Instagram.
"My dear husband, I always told you that you were my favorite actor to work with, and probably one of the most underrated in this country! Your talent was beyond! How you committed to each character you portrayed always left me in awe!" she wrote.
'The Queen' actress says her husband will never be forgotten, and that he continues to make her proud.
"I have always been proud of you, and you continue to make us proud beyond the grave! God is good. Bravo Mr. Sho! Bravo!"
'Kings of Joburg', which is produced by Ferguson Films, also received a nod. The series has been nominated in the ‘Outstanding Drama Series (Africa)’ category.
Connie says the whole team is elated.
"I am so proud of EVERYONE who worked on this show! The excitement! The love! The passion! The drive! This nomination honors you all! Take a bow and be proud! You did it team Ferguson Films," she wrote.
The 51-year-old says win or lose the team has done an amazing job. She says Shona is smiling down at them.
"Let’s continue cooking with grease and making magic! Mr. Sho, you were the biggest part of this vision! It saddens me that you are not here physically to see it flourish in this way, but I know you’re smiling and celebrating with us!"
