Win tickets to 'Coloured President'
Updated | By Staff Writer
The 'Coloured President' show will be staged at 8pm at the Playhouse in Durban on Friday 25 July, and will also form part of a DVD recording.
Carvin's hilarious family friendly comedy has won him audiences across the country.
Not one to venture much into politics, Carvin H Goldstone will flip the script as he enters political comedy arena with views on Julius Malema the DA, Jacob Zuma, sports quotas, the Oscar Trial and of course what South Africa would be like if it had a Coloured President.
The show is a follow up to Carvin's successful iBruino and No Swearing Comedy shows which were also staged at the Playhouse.
"This is my most daring and colorful show. Lots of off the wall ideas, on point impersonations and some everyday characters in some not so everyday situations.
"With iBruino and No Swearing I introduced myself, my character and my skillset to the South African comedy audience. With Coloured President I am going to stretch those comedy skills and ideas to their absolute limit.
"But I'm going to do it and still keep it clean and family friendly which is always the biggest challenge for comedians," says Carvin.
Carvin H Goldstone has enjoyed success across the country with the show also heading to Port Elizabeth, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Bloemfontein.
"I've really enjoyed the audiences across South Africa but Durban remains special for me. My ideas and characters come from this beautiful city and while I'm happy my comedy has been well received across the country it's really the people of Durban and KwaZulu-Natal who I write these show for.
"They are the inspiration for my comedy," says Carvin.
"That includes the President who also comes from here so who knows one day we might have a Coloured President."
Tickets for the show are available at Computicket or at any Shoprite Checkers outlet.
