Former Miss South Africa and reigning Miss Supranational, Lalela Mswane, touched down in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to the sound of screaming fans queuing up to get her autograph.
The 25-year-old is in the Southeast Asian country for Harper's Bazaar Star Awards. Lalela will be in the country until Sunday, December 4.
It's the law graduate's first visit to Vietnam. Lalela - who hails from Richards Bay - will walk the runway at a fashion show in an outfit designed by a top local designer.
She is also expected to feature in a photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar Vietnam. Lalela thanked her Vietnamese fans for their warm welcome.
"I’m truly just currently overwhelmed by all the love and kindness I’ve received. I’m beyond grateful," she wrote on Instagram.

Lalela was crowned Miss Supranational 2022 in July. She won the judges and audience over with her confidence, intelligence, and beauty.
"With this crown I carry the hopes, dreams of women who have come before me and those to come. It serves as affirmation that no dream is too small, no journey insurmountable to conquer. May it be a constant reminder to allow your feet to lead you to wherever it is your heart desires," she wrote on Instagram at the time.
Lalela had a successful reign as Miss South Africa. Not only did she win Miss Supranational, but she also finished second runner-up at Miss Universe 2021.
It's been a busy few months for the Miss Supranational. She visited the Dominican Republic in October for the crowning of their Miss Supranational.
Lalela has also served as a judge at several top events including the JCS Young Creatives Award for 2022 - an initiative the International Emmy Awards launched in 2017.
