Thousands of people have taken to social media to pay tribute to well-known actor Sandy Mokwena.
South Africa is mourning the death of another entertainer this week.
Veteran actor Sandy Mokwena, known for his role as Bra Eddie Khumalo on e.tv's 'Scandal!', passed away on Thursday morning.
The 68-year-old, who has also starred in popular shows such as "Generations', 'Yizo Yizo', and 'Soul City', died in hospital of "natural causes".
Mokwena was reportedly last seen on the 'Scandal!' set last week. Production has reportedly been cancelled for the day.
"e.tv is deeply saddened by the news and our condolences go out to Sandy’s family and the cast and crew of Scandal!" the channel said in a statement.
News of Sandy's death comes just two days after the passing of jazz legend Hugh Masekela.
Arts & Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa has extended his department's "deepest sympathies to the family, friends & colleagues" of the actor.
