The horror movie trailer that has everyone talking
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
It’s only being released in 2017, but this
horror movie is already creating a lot of buzz.
We gave up on being scared silly by horror movies in primary school, but Get Out has us shaking in our boots, and we have only seen the trailer!
Universal Pictures released the movie’s first trailer earlier this week, just in time for Halloween season.
While the movie only comes out in February, it has already been labelled a must-see, and judging by the trailer, we can see why.
The feature film centres around a black man named Chris who is about to meet his white girlfriend Rose’s parents for the first time.
Meeting your partner’s parents is horrifying for most people, but it gets even scarier when said parents live in a murderous white community.

Between Rose’s mother insisting on hypnotising Chris, and his friend warning that a number of black men have gone missing in the community – this movie will certainly leave you screaming ‘WTH!’.
Jordan Peele, the brainchild behind the Emmy-winning show Key & Peele, makes his directing debut with the film, which is already creating a lot of buzz.
“It is one of the very, very few horror movies that does jump off of racial fears. That to me is a world that hasn’t been explored. Specifically, the fears of being a black man today. The fears of being any person who feels like they’re a stranger in any environment that is foreign to them. It deals with a protagonist that I don’t see in horror movies,” Peele told Playboy magazine in 2014.
