Stars pay tribute to Kirstie Alley - 'Her joy of being was boundless'
John Travolta took to Instagram to pay tribute to his 'Look Who's Talking' co-star Kirstie Alley,
Tributes are pouring in for American actress Kirstie Alley. The Emmy-winning actress died on Monday at the age of 71.
Her children, Lillie Price and William True Stevenson, revealed that her cause of death was cancer.
"We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce, and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered," they said in a statement.
John Travolta, who starred alongside Kirstie in the 1989 romantic comedy, 'Look Who's Talking', led tributes to the late star.
"Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had. I love you Kirstie. I know we will see each other again," he wrote on Instagram.
The 'Grease' actor lost his wife, Kelly Preston, to breast cancer in 2020.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis described her 'Scream Queens' co-star as a "beautiful mama bear".
"I've just heard the sad news that Kirstie Alley has died. She was a great comic foil in @tvscreamqueens and a beautiful mama bear in her very real life. She helped me buy onesies for my family that year for Christmas. We agreed to disagree about some things but had a mutual respect and connection. Sad news," Jamie wrote on Instagram.

Her former 'Cheers' co-stars, Kelsey Grammer, Ted Danson, and Rhea Perlman also shared beautiful tributes.
Kelsey told Deadline that he "always loved" Kirstie. Rhea said she became friends with Kirstie almost instantly when she joined the show.
"Kirstie was a unique and wonderful person and friend. Her joy of being was boundless... She loved her children deeply. I've never met anyone remotely like her. I feel so thankful to have known her. I'm going to miss her very, very much."
Ted added: "I am so sad and so grateful for all the times she made me laugh. I send my love to her children. As they well know, their mother had a heart of gold. I will miss her.”

Kirstie returned to social media in 2022 to promote her appearance on 'The Masked Singer'.
The singing reality show marked her final appearance on TV. She appeared as 'Baby Mammoth' on the Fox show earlier this year.
"I've done a lot of things in my career, but I've never gotten to be in the circus,' she joked while still wearing the bottom half of her pink fluffy costume... I have grandchildren and they're really young, so they are going to think this is good," she told host Nick Cannon.
