One year ago, Avril Lavigne was in Paris celebrating her engagement to singer-songwriter Mod Sun. Things are a little different in 2023.
The 'Sk8er Boi' star is back in the 'City of Love' for Paris Fashion Week and she has a new man on her arm. She was spotted kissing Tyga at the Mugler x Hunter Schafer's party.
The 38-year-old and her rapper boyfriend packed on the PDA as the paparazzi looked on.
"2023 is just so random like who would ever think Avril Lavigne and Tyga would be a thing," one Twitter user wrote.

Avril Lavigne's ex-fiancé reacts to dating rumours
Rumours of their romance first surfaced in February with TMZ posting a picture of the pair hugging after a dinner date.
Avril Lavigne's ex-fiancé seems blindsided by the end of their relationship. Shortly after TMZ published the grainy pictures, Mod Sun took to Instagram to share a cryptic post.
"In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken," he wrote.
Mod Sun added that being surrounded by love while on tour has been an absolute blessing.
"I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back."

But some of Avril's fans are not convinced that her new romance is legit. Many believe it is a PR stunt.
The 'All I Wanted' singer's latest album, 'Love Sux', was produced by DTA Records' Travis Barker. The Blink-182 drummer is married to Kourtney Kardashian - whose family has been accused of orchestrating many PR stunts.
Tyga is also the ex-boyfriend of Kourtney's younger sister, Kylie Jenner.
