Sbahle says that she only claimed she had amnesia to avoid answering questions about her relationship.
Sbahle Mpisane has made a big admission about the horrific accident in 2018 that almost claimed her life.
After the crash, the fitness enthusiast claimed that she had amnesia and could not remember her then-boyfriend, Itumeleng 'Itu' Khune.
Many believed it was the reason for their split, but Sbahle has confessed that she did not forget the football star.
"After the accident, I didn't try to fix anything with Khune... I said because of amnesia I don't remember who Khune is. I only said that because obviously, y'all wanted answers, unnecessarily... I was going through a very fragile state and I just felt like that was not something for me to focus on," she said on Instagram Live.
Sbahle added that the footballer visited her often when she was in the hospital and she remembered him very well.
"I said I have amnesia, I don't remember him, but obviously I do remember him. I spoke to him every day while I was in the hospital. He would come to visit me a lot. We were cool and everything. So, in relation to people saying, 'she remembers everything but she doesn't remember Khune', I was just fooling y'all."

Sbahle broke 80% of the bones in her body when her car crashed into a pole and a tree in Durban during the early hours of August 9, 2018.
She spent three months in hospital. Itu has moved on and is now married with two children. The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper is enjoying his new life as a husband and father.
"Best feeling Ever, GOD always has a better plan than we do. Proud DAD for the 2nd time," he said after welcoming his second child last year.
It's unclear if Sbahle has a new boyfriend in her life. She appears to be focusing on her health and career.
