Russell Brand describes marriage to Katy Perry as "chaotic"

Comedian Russell Brand has described his marriage to Katy Perry as "chaotic" and "disconnected".
Russell Brand has opened up about his two-year marriage to musician Katy Perry.
In an interview with 'Running Wild With Bear Grylls: The Challenge', the comedian said the marriage was not always easy.
"Aside from my, like, sort of feelings of affection for Katy, it’s a time that I remember as being a little bit chaotic and a bit, for me, I’ll speak for myself, a little disconnected," he said.

But despite all they went through, the comedian said there were some great moments and he described his ex-wife as an amazing person.
"Some aspects of it were amazing—she's an amazing person," Brand said.
"It was kind of incredible to live for a moment in that eye of a cyclone type aspect of fame."

Katy previously spoke about the marriage in an interview with the Australian '60 Minutes' in August 2020.
"I was having great success at 23, 24 and 25 and then I met someone that was interesting and stimulating. It was just like a tornado, it was everything happening at once," she said.
The pop star added that she "always resonated with friction and resistance and challenges".
The comedian, 48, got married to the pop star in India in 2010.
The couple divorced in 2012.
