Madonna's 'moonman' award goes on auction for over R1-million

Madonna is one of the most successful artists of our time.
Now, one of her awards is up for auction, this is according to a report by TMZ.
The Moonman award she won at the MTV Video Music Awards for the song 'Papa Don't Preach' in 1987 is on sale for a whopping $60,000 (approximately R1,052,117.10).
It is being auctioned by RR Auction. According to the auction site, the sale ends on December 8.

'Papa Don't Preach' was released in 1986 and like many of Madonna's songs, it unsurprisingly became a hit.
The music video was directed by James Foley.
The song comes from Madonna's third studio album, 'True Blue'.
Within eight weeks of release, the song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the fourth number one hit for the star.
