Prince William and Kate set to sue Tatler over "false" report

Tatler's cover story about the Duchess of Cambridge has been labeled "sexist", "cruel", and "disgusting".
Prince William and his wife Kate are reportedly taking action against British magazine, Tatler.
The publication's latest issue features the Duchess of Cambridge on its cover with the headline: "Catherine the Great".
Despite the flattering cover, Kensington Palace slammed the "swathe of inaccuracies and false misrepresentations" made in the story.

One of the claims the publication made centered around Kate's relationship with her brother-in-law Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.

While the magazine praised Kate for doing an amazing job during the COVID-19 crisis, it alleged that Kate felt the Sussexes threw them under the bus when they stepped down from senior royal duties in March.
"‘Meghan and Harry have been so selfish. William and Catherine really wanted to be hands-on parents and the Sussexes have effectively thrown their three children under a bus. There goes their morning school runs as the responsibilities on them now are enormous," an alleged friend of the Cambridges told Tatler.
A source allegedly told the publication that the Duchess of Cambridge felt "exhausted" by all the work she had to do post "Megxit".

Tatler also discussed rumours that Kate and Meghan do not get along. Tensions, the magazine claimed, went as far back as Meghan and Harry's May 2018 wedding.
Apparently the women had a tiff after Kate suggested the flower girls wear stockings/tights under their dresses in keeping with royal protocol. None of Meghan's flower girls, including Princess Charlotte, were pictured wearing tights on her wedding day.

Tatler has also come under fire for claiming "Kate has become perilously thin, just like – some point out – Princess Diana".
Kensington Palace slammed the article in a statement.
"This story contains a swathe of inaccuracies and false misrepresentations which were not put to Kensington Palace prior to publication."
Tatler's Editor-in-Chief, Richard Dennen, said the magazine stands by its story.
According to The Daily Mail, William and Kate's team sent legal letters to the magazine demanding the story is removed from its website.
"The piece is full of lies," a royal source told the publication. The source described some of the claims in the piece as "cruel", "sexist", "disgusting", and "woman-shaming".
