Mr Smeg was dressed in Drip footwear, a South African brand and Era by DJ Zinhle, Tshepo jeans, and he picked his date up in a Mercedes Benz S class.

We hope Pearl and Mr Smeg had a cute night together.

Also, they had a special guest join them at the table.

PREVIOUSLY

It's not every day that a celebrity agrees to go out on a date with a total stranger, even if the person is their fan. 

But, one Twitter user was bold enough to ask Pearl Thusi out on a date - and he received a positive response. 

Mr Smeg, real name Michael Bucwa, tweeted: "Hi @PearlThusi , May I take you out for lunch?". 

To many Tweeps' surprise, Pearl agreed. 

"Yes please. When?" she responded.

The two set up a date for Saturday, 29 January, at Daruma restaurant, Waterfall City, Midrand. 

Mr Smeg is is going all out to ensure the date is out of this world. 

Not only is he asking Tweeps about what to wear to the date, but he has even reached out to the City of Joburg to provide fireworks.

"@CityofJoburgZA. May you Please provide us with fireworks or something special for my lunch date Pearl Thusi," he wrote. 

He even asked for a live broadcast of the date from Moja Love and BMW to sponsor his date with a car.
