Norma Gigaba drops her husband's surname after arrest drama
New beginnings! "This is who I am and where I belong," says Norma.
Norma Gigaba, the wife of former Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba, has a new lease on life following her recent arrest for malicious damage to property.
The IT specialist took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal that she will no longer be using her estranged husband's surname.
"Let me reintroduce this beautiful lady, who I’m crushing on her today WCW... Her name is Norma Mngoma, I’m so excited to use my maiden surname again, this is who I am and where I belong. #NewBeginnings," she wrote.
Norma and Malusi have reportedly called it quits after nearly six years of marriage. Their union was a rocky one. Malusi was rocked by cheating rumours in 2015.
New York-based stylist, Buhle Mkhize, claimed she had been having an affair with him. Their affair allegedly began before the politician walked down the aisle, and continued afterwards.

The cheating scandal plagued their marriage for nearly two years, with both Norma and Buhle taking swipes at each other on social media.
Malusi also made headlines in 2018 when a video of a sexual nature went viral. He claimed the footage was meant for his wife's eyes only and someone had hacked his phone.
Norma stuck by her man throughout the drama. But things took a dramatic turn in July when Malusi laid a criminal charge against his wife for allegedly damaging a Mercedes Benz G-Wagon that belonged to one of his friends.
The former cabinet minister had been using the vehicle.
Norma spent a night in prison. She was released on R5,000 bail.
It is not known if the couple is legally separated or if they are divorced already.
Regardless of the legal state of their union, Norma has made it clear that she is moving.
