Makhadzi’s ‘Ghanama’ music video is receiving a lot of love from around the globe.
Congratulations are in order for Makhadzi.
The award-winning singer’s latest music video, ‘Ghanama’, is currently #1 on YouTube music videos.
The video was released on July 24 and has been trending since its release.
It is currently trending above Beyoncé and Bruno Mars’ music videos, which were also recently released.
‘Ghanama’ had over 1-million views in less than a week of release, and over 53,000 likes.
Most streamed Mzansi Female Album in SA in 2021
Makhadzi’s 2020 album ‘Kokovha’ has been named the most streamed Mzansi Female Album in SA in 2021.
The news was revealed by Apple Music which launched a Visionary Women Campaign to celebrate women in music.
Other South Africans who were recognised include Elaine, DBN Gogo, and Lady Lu.
“To celebrate the achievements of South Africa’s female artists, Apple Music has also announced Lady Du, Makhadzi, DBN Gogo, Elaine and Shekhinah as the most streamed SA Female Artists, Kokovha by Makhadzi as the most streamed Mzansi Female Album and Dakiwe by Lady Du & DBN Gogo as the most streamed SA song from a female artist. Apple Music is also launching a Top Mzansi Women Playlist featuring the women who have dominated the charts so far," Apple Music announced.

'Kokovha' has 21 songs and features several big names including Sho Madjozi, Mampintsha, Mr Brown, Jah Prayzah, and Master KG.
It was released on 16 October 2020.
