Makhadzi and King Monada fight over new hit single

“I will never allow anyone to come and use my talent like a chappies like what Monada wants to do."
South African super stars King Monada and Makhadzi are engaged in a battle over a new song called, ‘Ghanama’.
The stars teased the song on social media on Monday. It was an instant hit, reaching over a million views on Tik Tok.
However, the joy was short-lived as the two artists started fighting about who owns the song.
According to the ‘Idibala’ hitmaker, both he and Makhadzi have equal rights to the song.
He says the initial agreement was that it will be a collaboration between the two of them. However, he says Makhadzi went against her word and claimed the song as her own.
Monada took to Facebook to share his frustrations. He says they did the song together at his house.
Monada claims he sent the song to Makhadzi a few weeks ago and she was supposed to add her verse, which she then did over the weekend at his house.
Makhadzi, on the other hand, has called Monada a liar, saying he is seeking public sympathy.
She says she has tolerated Monada’s ill-treatment for many years and doesn’t want him taking credit for the work she has done.
“Monada used to treat me like a dog . I used to go to his studio and skip exams because of him. He would say wait we will record tomorrow. Just because I knew what I wanted in this game, I was patient,” says the star.
But she says she will no longer allow Monada to take advantage of her talent.
“I will never allow anyone to come and use my talent like a chappies like what Monada wants to do.”
“I came up with the idea, I wrote the song. I composed everything,” says Makhadzi.
She says she asked Monada to add his voice at the beginning of the song, but everything else was done by her.
The question on everybody’s lips is who is fooling who?
Some social media users are saying the artists are pulling a publicity stunt.
