Hundreds of local and international celebrities have taken up Tyler Perry's challenge to sing 'He's Got The Whole World In His Hands' as a prayer for our world amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Tyler Perry has called on all singers around the world to join him in singing the 'He's Got The Whole World In His Hands' classic. The song was first released in the 1920s and became an international hit in 1957 after it was recorded by Laurie London.

Tyler is now using the song to help unite the world and spread hope.
"How about a little something to make us all feel a little bit better. I'm gonna start this song and I want all of you to add to it. All the musicians out there, all the singers out there, change the key, take it up," he said in an Instagram video.
The challenge comes as the world is dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
"It’s my hope that we add to this simple song in every language from every nation as we let it become a prayer for our whole world! God bless you today. And remember it’s all in God’s hands!" Perry wrote on Instagram.
