Lira has been honoured with a Barbie doll!
Lira has unveiled a Barbie doll made especially for her.
The doll is part of Barbie’s 60th Anniversary Shero campaign, which celebrates role models who inspire young girls.
Lira is the first African woman to have a Barbie doll made in her likeness.
She visited the Barbie design centre in Los Angeles ahead of her doll's release and was impressed with what she saw.
"The dedication from the Barbie team to create my one-of-a-kind doll from sketch to final doll was amazing and hope it inspires girls across the African continent that you can be anything," she wrote on Instagram.
Lira added that she is thrilled to see her skin tone and natural hair reflected in her doll.
"I hope will inspire girls across the African continent. This is an enormous gesture and affirmation that the world is celebrating Africa for who we are."
