Kim Kardashian responds to haters who questioned her law studies

"One person actually said I should 'stay in my lane'," says Kim Kardashian.
Kim Kardashian has defended her decision to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star made headlines when she revealed in the May issue of Vogue magazine that she plans on taking the bar in 2022 to become a lawyer.
She told the magazine that she was inspired by the work she did to help secure the release of 63-year-old Alice Marie Johnson.
The grandmother had spent 21 years in prison for a non-violent drug-related offence. She visited the White House to discuss prison reform and lobby for Alice's release.
Kim told Vogue that she was doing an apprenticeship with a Californian law firm, which will allow her to take the bar exam.

While many people praised the star for pursuing her dream, some were quick to ridicule her.
Kim was even accused of using her privilege to make it as a lawyer.
The 37-year-old took to Instagram to set the record straight.
"I’ve seen some comments from people who are saying it’s my privilege or my money that got me here, but that’s not the case. One person actually said I should “stay in my lane.” I want people to understand that there is nothing that should limit your pursuit of your dreams, and the accomplishment of new goals. You can create your own lanes, just as I am.," she wrote.
Kim, who will be taking the "mini bar" later this year, says she is working hard like everyone else to make sure she is ready for her big exam in 2022.
"For anyone assuming this is the easy way out, it’s not. My weekends are spent away from my kids while I read and study. I work all day, put my kids to bed and spend my nights studying. There are times I feel overwhelmed and when I feel like I can’t do it but I get the pep talks I need from the people around me supporting me."
