Kardashian Drama: DNA test proves Tristan Thompson fathered a third child

Tristan Thompson is apologising to Khloe Kardashian for the "heartache and humiliation" he has caused her. 

He made the apology after a DNA test proved that he is the father of Maralee Nichols' newborn son. 

The woman gave birth in December, which means the baby was conceived around March 2021 when Tristan was still dating Khloe. 

"Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols," the NBA player wrote on Monday. 

Tristan added that he is taking full responsibility for his actions.

"Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately."

The 30-year-old also mentioned Khloe in his apology. "Khloe, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you," he wrote.

Maralee gave birth to a baby boy on December 1. Tristan demanded a paternity test from the fitness model. 

The pair are involved in a legal suit, which Maralee filed before the birth of their son. She is asking for her pregnancy-related medical expenses to be paid. Maralee also wants Tristan to pay child support. 

The woman told several publications in a statement that Tristan told her he was not dating Khloe.

"[Thompson] told me he was single and co-parenting. I would never have gotten involved with Tristan if I thought he was in a relationship," she said in a statement. 

Tristan admits that they "sporadically" saw each other between December 2020. They then met up again in March for Tristan's birthday.

Khloe was also celebrating Tristan's birthday in March. She attended a party for the basketball player and shared a lengthy Instagram post in his honour. 

It's not the first time Tristan has been accused of cheating. He cheated on Khloe a few days before she gave birth to their daughter True Thompson in 2018. Tristan was later accused of kissing Jordyn Woods. She was Kylie Jenner's best friend at the time. 

Several other women have also claimed they hooked up with him while he was dating Khloe. 

Tristan also has a son with model Jordan Craig.

Meanwhile, Maralee says she is focused on raising her son in a "safe, healthy, loving and private environment". 

"Instead of focusing on any negativity, I am choosing to embrace being a mother and doing the best I can for my son," she told PEOPLE.
