Two months after his controversial interview on 'Podcast and Chill with MacG', Molemo 'Jub Jub' Maarohanye is trying to make things right with Kelly Khumalo.

The 'Uyajola 9/9' host came under fire in December when he made some shocking remarks about Kelly - who is the mother of his son Christian - and actress Amanda du-Pont.

Jub Jub bragged in the interview that he had "smashed" both women. He admitted that he was dating Amanda when he started a relationship with Kelly.

The 'Ndikhokhele' rapper claimed that Kelly used muthi to lure him.

“When you look at me, you put Amanda du-Pont and you put Kelly. There is no way ever that I would have gone for Kelly over Amanda with a sober mind," he told MacG.

Jub Jub also spoke about their difficult co-parenting relationship. While Kelly remained mum after the interview, Jub Jub was slammed by numerous people, including Amanda du-Pont who accused him of rape.

In his apology to Kelly, Jub Jub said he was sorry for "any distress or hurt" he may have caused her as a result of the interview.

"Kelly, I am really sorry, I really did not mean for things to get here between you and I. My comments were taken out of context, however, it still doesn’t make it right," Jub Jub wrote in his lengthy apology.

Moja Love suspended the 'Uyajola 9/9' host after the interview, and according to a recent City Press report, the channel said he could only return if he apologises to Kelly.

Jub Jub dismissed the report in his apology.

“Please don't think that I am sending you this apology because of the recent article published this past weekend, I had plans to make things right with you and I will still do that outside of the public domain.

"I am hoping and most importantly praying that you and I will one day reach an amicable solution to co-parent our champ, as all I beg for is an opportunity to be a part of his life," he continued.

Jub Jub also apologised to the women of South Africa for the “distress, disappointment or hurt” he caused.

Kelly has not shared an official response to Jub Jub's apology. She did, however, take to her Instagram Story to share a post she found online.

"The toxic MONSTER who you saw in the end is who they really are, never doubt yourself again when they act nice! God allowed them to show off so you wouldn't go back and waste time," the post read.

Many social media users are not buying Jub Jub's apology.

"Apologising because your income is under threat is not an sincere apology," one Twitter user wrote

Another Twitter user added: "Jub Jub accused Kelly of witchcraft with his chest and his supporters used that to bash Kelly for weeks. He wasn't taken out of context. The whole country heard exactly what he said, and now that he was given an ultimatum to apologize or lose his job he says we all heard wrong..."
