JLO gets real about blending two families after marriage.
Jennifer Lopez is still on a high after marrying her "soulmate" Ben Affleck. The coupled tied the knot in 2022 - nearly 20 years after their first engagement. Their first ceremony took place in a Las Vegas chapel followed by an intimate estate wedding.
During an interview on 'The Today Show', Jennifer, who is promoting her new movie - 'Shotgun Wedding', opened up about what it has been like blending their two families.
Jennifer has two kids - twins Max and Emme - with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, while Ben shares three children - Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel - with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
All the children are teenagers except for 10-year-old Samuel.
"We moved in together. The kids moved in together. It’s been, like, a really kind of emotional transition, but at the same time all your dreams coming true and it’s just been a phenomenal year, like my best year, I think, since my kids were born," the 'Marry Me' hitmaker said.
JLO also described Ben as "dreamy" and a "sweetheart". The 'Jenny From The Block' singer has previously described Ben's ex-wife as "an amazing co-parent", adding that the former couple "work really well together".
"What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him, someone who really loves and cares about them but can have a different perspective and help me see things that I can’t see with my kids because I’m so emotionally tied up," she told Vogue last year.

Jennifer has a new album coming out in 2023 dedicated to her beau Ben. The singer will be releasing her ninth studio album, 'This Is Me... Now'.
The offering is the follow-up to 2002's 'This Is Me... Then'. Both albums are inspired by her romance with Ben. JLO's new album features 'Dear Ben pt. II'.
During an interview on 'The Zane Lowe Interview Series', Jennifer she felt like she was going to die when she and Ben broke up 20 years ago.
Her music was affected by the heartbreak and she stopped singing some of the songs from the album.
“It was so painful after we broke up. Once we called off that wedding 20 years ago, I was — it was the biggest heartbreak of my life. I honestly felt like I was going to die. It sent me on a spiral for the next 18 years where I just couldn’t get it right. But now, 20 years later, it does have a happy ending. It has the most would-never-happen-in-Hollywood ending," she said.
