Jennifer Lopez reveals why she hated her NFL half-time performance with Shakira
"This is the worst idea in the world to have two people do the Super Bowl" - J.LO gets real about her half-time show.
Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she did not want to co-headline the Super Bowl LIV half-time show with Colombian singer Shakira.
But there is no bad blood between the singers. J.LO says she was less than impressed that they were only given 12 minutes for the show, adding that having one headline act would have made sense.
Jennifer makes the remarks in her upcoming Netflix documentary, 'Halftime'.
"This is the worst idea in the world to have two people do the Super Bowl. It was the worst idea in the world," she says in the documentary.
Shakira also expressed concern about the time, and Jennifer once again made her feelings known.
"If it was going to be a double-headliner, they should have given us 20 minutes. That's what they should've f**king done," the 'Jenny From The Block' hitmaker responded.
She added in another scene: "They said 12 minutes. I got kind of a good confirmation that we could have an extra minute or two, so now we're at, like, 13, 14 minutes. I think, Shakira, what we should have is you should have half the time and I should [have half]."

Jennifer gives her fans an inside look at everything that went down at the 2020 half-time show in her documentary.
The 52-year-old also reveals that NFL bosses were not happy about her decision to include her daughter Emme in the show.
Emme belted out 'Let's Get Loud' from inside a case during the performance. The moment was supposed to address the recent criticism of how migrant families were being treated at the US-Mexico border.
There were several reports of children being separated from their parents and kept in cages.
Despite the behind-the-scenes drama, Jennifer and Shakira's half-time show received major praise and went on to be nominated for three Emmys, including 'Outstanding Variety Special (Live)'.
Jennifer's fiancé Ben Affleck also makes an appearance in the documentary. He defends her against constant criticism and unfair media scrutiny.
