Jennifer Aniston opens up about her IVF journey: "The ship has sailed"
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
The 53-year-old says she went through several failed IVF attempts, but she has "zero regrets".
Jennifer Aniston is baring her soul in Allure magazine's latest and final issue. The 'We're The Millers' actress shared candid details about her personal life, including her IVF journey.
"End of an era. Thank you @allure for making me the cover girl of your very last print issue," she captioned a picture from the issue on Instagram.
Jennifer told the publication trying to get pregnant was a challenging road for her.
"All the years and years and years of speculation... It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed," she told Allure.
Despite her struggles to conceive, the 'Friends' star says she has "zero regrets".
“I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore.”

Jennifer also rubbished claims that her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, dumped her because she didn't want to have children.
The former couple started dating in 1998 and got married in 2002. They shocked their fans in 2005 when they announced that they were going their separate ways. Brad went on to have six kids with Angelina Jolie - including their adopted children.
People called Jennifer a "selfish" woman who cared more about her career than her marriage.
"... God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn’t give him a kid. It was absolute lies. I don’t have anything to hide at this point," she said.

Jennifer says all the challenges she went through in her life helped her become the woman she is today.
"I feel the best in who I am today, better than I ever did in my 20s and 30s even, or my mid-40s. We needed to stop saying bad s**t to ourselves. You’re going to be 65 one day and think, I looked f**king great at 53.”
