"I'm sorry": Oscar Pistorius begs Reeva's family for forgiveness
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
A friend of Oscar's told The Sun that he "really wants forgiveness" from Reeva's family.
Disgraced Paralympian Oscar Pistorius reportedly hopes Reeva Steenkamp's family will one day be able to forgive him.
The 33-year-old was sentenced to 13 years in prison in 2017 for the Valentine's Day shooting that left Reeva dead in 2013.
According to The Sun, Oscar desperately wants her family to forgive him.
His former headteacher, Bill Schroder, gave the publication an update on his life in prison. He says the once-revered athlete has turned to God.
"What he really, really wants is forgiveness. I said to him that if he had killed my daughter I doubt I would forgive him," he was quoted as saying.

Schroder added that Oscar is more concerned about forgiveness than parole.
"In fact, he has a real fear about getting parole as he knows there’ll be a backlash.”
Reeva's mother, June Steenkamp, told The Citizen in 2018 that she was no longer interested in Oscar.
She said she was focusing on the Reeva Steenkamp Foundation she started to help abused women.
"I am finished with that! It’s up to the justice system now – I have no interest whatsoever in him. He is not important to me anymore. It has been five years and I have had enough now,” she said after the Constitutional Court dismissed Oscar's application for leave to appeal his prison sentence.
His ex-headteacher says Oscar is remorseful.
"He still maintains to this day it was an accident. I did feel he was showing remorse."
