IATS on the hunt for new talent in Durban
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
The International Arts Talent Showcase (IATS) is giving aspiring stars
in Durban the chance to showcase their talent globally.
Are you an aspiring dancer, actor, model or singer? Now is your chance to show off your skills.
The International Arts Talent Showcase (IATS) is searching for talented young entertainers in Durban.
The company travels to several provinces in South Africa every year in the hopes of finding performers who have what it takes to shine internationally.
Those selected at the IATS’s auditions could get chosen by talent scout Kim Myers for the opportunity of a lifetime.

They will get to travel to America where they will take part in the annual Applause Rising Talent Showcase (ARTS) convention, which takes place in Orlando, Florida.
This is the chance of a lifetime as some of the top agents in the USA attend.
“Attending the ARTS convention in Florida are high profile agencies such as Disney, Nickelodeon, Tyler Perry Studios and more,” the IATS said in a statement.

Durban ARTS alumnus Byron Gindra was scouted by Elsubie Verlinden in 2017 and went on to audition for ‘American Idol’.
The international exposure helped him become a performing artist in Dubai. He now works full time as a singer and actor.
The IATS says the auditions are not a competition.
“It’s a platform – its primary focus is on arts education – which allows longevity in the marketplace. The company wants to create a platform that will help SA talent secure international exposure."
The IATS is hosting auditions at St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls in Kloof on Saturday, February 9.
Auditions start at 8am.
Hopefuls need to register in order to audition. You can contact Director of Admissions Elouise Janse van Rensburg on 011 039 2481 or email [email protected].
