George Floyd's family to sue Kanye West for approximately R4-billion

Kanye West has come under fire for the remarks he made about George Floyd's death and now the family is reportedly ready to sue him for millions of Dollars.
The family of George Floyd is reportedly suing Kanye West for $250-million (approximately R4-billion).
This comes after Kanye's interview on the podcast 'Drink Champs' on Saturday, were he said that Floyd died from a fentanyl overdose not police brutality.
His remarks reportedly traumatised Floyd's daughter, Gianna. It also caused damage to Floyd's estate.

Forbes reported that Roxie Washington, the mother of Floyd's daughter, filed the lawsuit on her daughter's behalf.
According to TMZ, the family said Kanye's comments are 'blatantly false' and 'malicious' and are 'creating an unsafe and unhealthy environment' for Floyd's daughter.
"Mr. Floyd’s cause of death is well-settled through evidence presented in courts of law during the criminal and civil trials that were the result of his untimely and horrific death. Nevertheless, you have maliciously made statements that are inaccurate and unfounded, causing damage to Mr. Floyd’s estate and his family," reads a statement by the family lawyers, Witherspoon Law Group and Dixon & Dixon.
The podcast episode has since been removed from YouTube and Revolt TV.
Floyd died on 25 May 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States.
His death trended on social media, with footage showing police officer Derek Chauvin's knee on his neck.
