five items are cheaper to buy in January than at any other time of year!
If your bank balance is looking a little bleak after spending way too much in December, you will be pleased to know that there are five items you can buy in January that won’t dent your budget.
That’s if you have any money to spare to begin with.
Responsible spenders and bargain hunters can also benefit from getting their hands on some of these items.
2017 Calendar
Most stores start selling their calendars for the new year in October. Come January, just about everyone remembers they need a new agenda or planner. Like school stationery deals, you can also expect calendar specials! But not all stores push down their prices, due to demand, some go up in price. You need to shop around!
Clothing Sales
You can expect to save a lot on clothing in January, because that is when most stores have big sales following the festive season madness. Retailers are also making room for new stock coming in for Autumn – which is just around the corner.
Fitness equipment
Thanks to thousands of people making New Year’s resolutions to lose weight, stores know January is the best time to entice customers with deals on fitness equipment.
Linen
Be on the lookout for “white sales” in January, with some stores offering major price cuts on beddings and towels.
Valentine’s Day gifts
January is the perfect time to buy your Valentine’s Day gifts, because come February you can expect to fork out an arm and a leg for one night of passion. Stores are already stocking up on Valentine’s Day goodies, and they are likely to be cheaper over the next few weeks. You can also take advantage of those end-of-year sales still happening in January to buy things like jewellery and perfume.
