DJ Zinhle wins NAMA award for ‘Umlilo’

She walked away with the NAMA Pan African Artist of the Year award.
Congratulations are in order for DJ Zinhle.
The South African DJ has won her first award after being in the music industry for over a decade.
The 'My Name Is' hitmaker won an award at the Namibian Annual Music Awards on Saturday, 17 October. Zinhle won under the category ‘Pan African Artist of the Year award’ for the song 'Umlilo'.

'Congratulations to @DJZinhle for winning the #NAMA2020 Pan African Artist of the Year award', the NAMA awards tweeted over the weekend.
Zinhle expressed her joy in winning her first award in a video posted on her social media pages.
“I’ve actually never won an award before, so this is means a lot to me. On behalf of South Africa, Rethabile and Mvzzle we would like to thank you for celebrating this song with us. We love the song and we are so glad that you love it so much that it actually won an award. We love you. We appreciate you. Thank you so so much,” she said in the video.
