City Press is reporting that the SABC has suspended Dineo Ranaka after she shared a video of herself dancing on top of office furniture.
Television and radio personality, Dineo Ranaka, has reportedly been suspended from Metro FM by the SABC.
According to several media reports, the suspension comes after Ranaka shared a video of herself doing The Umlando Challenge on top of office furniture.
City Press spoke to SABC’s group executive for corporate affairs, Gugu Ntuli, who confirmed the news about the suspension.
“The SABC can confirm that Dineo Ranaka is not scheduled on Metro FM at this stage and as a matter of principle the corporation does not discuss matters relating to its independent contractors in public,” Ntuli reportedly said.

If Metro FM really suspended Dineo Ranaka for the Umlando challenge, they must know that it's ridiculous. pic.twitter.com/EBB42ZX47o

Well, the place of workplace is a place of workplace. She shouldn't have done that.. However, they should've just given her a final warning. Suspension is too drastic.

Do you guys think it was unfair to suspend her over this? A challenge isn’t good enough reason to potentially break company infrastructure

Normally Dineo is wrong but here, shem this is a strategy for constructive dismissal. There is nothing malicious here!

I concur with you, it had me wondering if she would have been suspended if she'd done it exceedingly well because maybe she's also copping punishment for her bad efforts but I still disagree with SABC for this harsh decision. pic.twitter.com/m1Mm0AdlBx
