Grannies all over the world are celebrating news that rumours about their beloved soapie, 'Days of Our Lives', coming to and end are not true.
Long-running American soapie, 'Days of Our Lives', will live to see another season.
The show's executive producer Ken Corday has reportedly decided to renew the soapie, which aired its first episode in 1965, for a 56th season.
The news comes just days after the rumour mill went into overdrive after the entire cast was allegedly released from their contracts.
While the soapie's loyal fans went into panic mode, the cast members tried to pour cold water on the claims.
"We’re still here," Kristian Alfonso, who plays Hope Williams Brady, said on Instagram.

According to Deadline, cost cutting was the reason behind the cast being released from their contracts.
Producers are now in a position to re-negotiate salaries, which could spell bad news for the actors and they may have to accept contracts with terms dictated by the big bosses.
Despite all the alleged drama behind-the-scenes, 'Days of Our Lives' fans are just happy the show will live to see another day.
