The end of an era and the start of another...
NBC has announced that its long-running soapie, 'Days of Our Lives', will be moving to its streaming platform, Peacock.
The soapie has aired on the channel for 57 years.
According to Variety, the change will come into effect from September 12.
'Days of Our Lives' already has a spin-off show on the streaming platform called, 'Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem'.
Old episodes have also been streaming on Peacock.
Many of the original cast are still associated with the soapie, including Deidre Hall (Dr. Marlena Evans), Alison Sweeney (Samantha "Sami" Brady), Drake Hogestyn (John Black), John Aniston (Victor Kiriakis), James Reynolds (Abe Carver), Eileen Davidson (Kristen DiMera), and Peter Reckell (Bo Brady).
Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams) announced her retirement in 2020 after 37 years on the show, but has since returned for the 'Beyond Salem' spin-off.
eTV announced in March 2022 that it will no longer be airing the soap opera. It was discontinued in April.
