Chrissy Teigen slams trolls criticising Meghan Markle's miscarriage essay
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
The Duchess of Sussex shared a heartbreaking essay about her miscarriage, and some of her haters couldn't resist taking a swipe at the royal.
It seems nothing Meghan Markle does or shares is ever good enough for her haters.
The Duchess of Sussex opened up about her miscarriage in a recent piece for the New York Times.
The 39-year-old revealed she suffered the miscarriage in July.
"I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second," she wrote.
Many women praised Meghan for opening up about her experience, saying she was helping to break the stigma and shame around miscarriage.
"So many of us have been there. Years ago my husband and I suffered a very public miscarriage. But I realized the beauty in inspiring others that it's ok to talk about it. Love this from Meghan Markle. A must read. And must ask: "Are you OK?"," one woman wrote.
"When I had a miscarriage, I remember scouring the internet for articles by women who had been through the same thing. Because reading that you're not alone is helpful and it's comforting. So thank you to Meghan Markle for writing about something so difficult," the Daily Telegraph's arts and entertainment editor, Anita Singh, tweeted.

But some people were not so kind.
"'Breaking down the stigma and shame?' What "stigma and shame?" Many celebrities before Meghan have had tragic ends to their pregnancies and have talked about it, openly & honestly. With Meghan, everything always feels like it's for publicity & sympathy," one woman tweeted.
Another woman added: "I am truly sorry that Meghan and Harry lost a baby. It’s devastating but I feel like she has released this info to get sympathy and to stop the bad publicity!!"
Chrissy Teigen, who recently opened up about her own miscarriage, came to Meghan's defence.
One man tried to defend those slamming Meghan's decision to write an essay about her grief.
"Is anyone really questioning the pain and sheer awfulness of suffering a miscarriage, or are they perhaps criticising Meghan’s decision to write a 1,000 word op-Ed about herself? What does it add to the resources already available for those who go through a tragedy like this?"
Chrissy wasted no time clapping back.
"Award for today's absolute piece of s**t goes to Marco Giannangeli. Congratulations, piece of s**t," she commented.
You tell him, Chrissy!
