Celebs support YouTube star NikkieTutorials after she comes out as transgender
Beauty YouTuber NikkieTutorials reveals she was blackmailed into sharing her transgender story before she was ready to come out.
Nikkie de Jager, popularly known as NikkieTutorials, had some big news to share with her followers this week.
The Dutch YouTube star told her 12.9-million subscribers that she is a transgender woman.
"When I was younger, I was born in the wrong body which means that I am transgender," she said while holding back tears.
Nikkie added that she knew from an early age that she wanted to be a girl. Her mother fully supported her.
"She has been there for me since day one. She has always supported me, always accepted me and that is everything you need as a kid."

The 25-year-old said she grew out her hair at the age of six and "fully wore girls clothes only" by the age of seven.
"The teachers were so supportive about it... I will always be so thankful for all the teachers at that school who supported my journey."
She started taking hormones to stop her growth when she was 14 and fully transitioned when she was 19.
Nikkie's "coming out" video has been watched more than 23-million times on YouTube.
Nikkie has turned her love for beauty into a multi-million dollar brand. She has collaborated with stars such as Kim Kardashian, Drew Barrymore, and Jessie J, and recently worked with Lady Gaga.

Some of her famous followers have come out to support her.
Ariana Grande, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, and fashion designer Marc Jacobs all showed Nikkie some love on social media.
"So proud and happy for you!!!" Amber Rose commented on Instagram.
German singer Kim Petras tweeted: "I’m so happy n proud for @NikkieTutorials... that s**t had me emotional"
Nikkie got engaged to her boyfriend Dylan during a romantic trip to Italy in 2019. She revealed in her "coming out" video that Dylan didn't know she was transgender when they first met.
"He knows now... but I wish I told him sooner. Every thing felt so magical, so good, that I was afraid to lose him if I would tell my full story... when I told him my full story, of course he was shocked but that is a private matter that we are dealing with... Dylan is such a strong, insoiring human being adn I am honoured to be by his side."
