Cassper Nyovest ordered to pay DJ Sumbody R147k

DJ Sumbody has been granted a court order against Cassper Nyovest, and the rapper now has to fork out R147, 000.
A court has reportedly ordered Cassper Nyovest to fork out R147, 000 in unpaid royalties. DJ Sumbody, whose real name is Oupa Sefoka, took the rapper to court over their single, 'Remote Control'.
The 2018 track was later featured in an advert for Samsung.
According to the City press, DJ Sumbody obtained a court order instructing Cassper to cough up the cash as per a settlement agreement.
The court found the agreement “valid and binding”.
Cassper initially slammed reports that he owed DJ Sumbody money for unpaid royalties.
"The lies don't stop!!! Lmao... wtf man ?? Does my name sell that many papers? That's the only that would make sense cause wow. Week in, week out, Cassper what what Cassper what ya'll write any f**king thing as long is my name is there!!! La bora le marete lotlhe entlek!! Almal!!!" he tweeted in November 2021.

Other stars who have made headlines over alleged unpaid royalties include Zahara, Makhadzi and Master KG.
Zahara is currently involved in a battle with her former label, TS Records.
"I'm coming for everything. I've got a lawyer who is going to do everything for me pro bono. Every cent, from everywhere," she told TshisaLIVE in May.
Zahara has had a difficult few months. She admitted that she is having financial problems. According to several reports, the singer is on the verge of losing her home after failing to make her bond payments.
We doubt Cassper, who is one of the richest rappers in South Africa, will have any problems forking out R147k.
The 'Tito Mboweni' hitmaker owns several Bentleys and a McLaren worth a reported R5-million!
