It’s been months since
Britney Spears and her father spoke, and the old man is not handling it well.
Jamie Spears has opened up to CNN about the strained relationship he has with his daughter Britney.
During the interview, Jamie told reporters that he misses his daughter. This comes after months of not speaking due to an ongoing court battle where Britney requested her father be removed as co-conservator of her estate.

Britney’s court-appointed attorney, Samuel D. Ingham, instructed Jamie not to contact Britney. But, for Jamie, not speaking to his daughter is taking a strain on him.
"I love my daughter and I miss her very much," he told CNN.

Jamie said he was handling Britney’s estate to protect her against those with self-serving interests.
"When a family member needs special care and protection, families need to step up, as I have done for the last 12-plus years, to safeguard, protect and continue to love Britney unconditionally. I have and will continue to provide unwavering love and fierce protection against those with self-serving interests and those who seek to harm her or my family," he told CNN.
According to a report by Daily Mail, Britney Spears' father claims he helped her climb out of debt, build a $60M fortune and 'restore her to good health', and thus does not want to be removed as Britney’s conservator.
But, according to Britney’s attorney, the 39-year-old is afraid of her father.
“My client has informed me that she is afraid of her father. She will not perform again if her father is in charge of her career,” attorney Ingham told the judge.
