'Black Panther' is gearing up for an epic opening weekend. The movie, which stars local actors John and Atandwa Kani, is one of the most anticipated of the year.
'Black Panther' only comes out in February, but moviegoers are already lining up to see it.
The Marvel blockbuster has made history before even hitting the big screen.
The movie sold more pre-sale tickets than any of the franchise's previous films in its first 24-hours on movie tickets website, Fandango.
Fandango says the film beat 'Captain America: Civil War', which has held the record since 2016.

According to a survey conducted by Fandango, 'Black Panther', is the second most anticipated movie of 2018, behind 'Avengers: Infinity War'.
The film stars a predominately black cast, including Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o, Michael B. Jordan, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, and Forest Whitaker.
Some of South Africa's A-list actors also make an appearance in the movie.
Veteran actor Jon Kani and his son Atandwa Kani play the young and old versions of Wakanda chieftain, T'Chaka.
Actress Connie Chiume, who you might remember from 'Rhythm City', is also part of the star-studded cast.
She plays a mining tribe elder in the movie. Connie says she had no idea she was auditioning for 'Black Panther'.
“It was so secretive that I was not even told what role I was auditioning for, it was not even gender specific. I was just given lines to read and that was it," she told IOL recently.
John, Atandwa, and Connie are all expected to fly to Los Angeles to attend the movie's premiere.
