Awkward! Kate rejects Prince William's PDA at Christmas party
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
A video of the Duchess of Cambridge seemingly brushing off unwanted public affection from Prince William is causing a stir on social media.
Prince William and Kate Middleton's recent appearance on the BBC's 'A Berry Royal Christmas' has the Twitterverse talking for all the wrong reasons.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge discussed some of the charities they support on the Christmas special.
They also held a party for staff and volunteers that was catered by 'Great British Bake Off' judge Mary Berry.
Will and Kate appeared to be in a merry mood and at one point helped make some festive dishes during a "bake off".

Things were going great until the royal couple had an awkward moment that left many people in shock.
Viewers noticed that Kate appeared to brush off William's hand while they were chatting to some of the volunteers.

While many believed Kate was simply trying to remain professional by avoiding a public display of affection, others think there is more to the awkward moment.
"Wow she never broke her smile and he didn't show any reaction to it, just kept on talking! I hope the RR stop pushing 'they're so in love' crap, before it blows up in their faces," one tweep wrote.
Another Twitter user questioned why the BBC did not edit out the embarrassing exchange.
"This #ABerryRoyalChristmas have obviously been edited as any doc would be and they decided to keep this very odd moment when Kate push away William hand on her I mean....."

Cringe-worthy moment aside, many royal fans believe the special was a big success for the couple.

Who else wishes/think Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh are sitting in-front of their telly and watching #ABerryRoyalChristmas and can’t stop smiling after seeing such a bright future for the British monarchy after such horrid weeks/months. #Hurrah https://t.co/s0usJoMnhN

I have a complaint @BBCOne. One programme is not enough. We need more of Mary and Kate. #ABerryRoyalChristmas pic.twitter.com/dBlJMGiVrb
