Angelina Jolie donates $1-million to alleviate hunger during coronavirus pandemic

She will be donating $1-million to the 'No Kid Hungry' organisation based in America.
American actress Angelina Jolie is using her riches to help the poor.
According to a report by E! News, the actress has pledged to donate $1-million to a charity organisation that feeds poor children.
'No Kid Hungry' is an American charity that is committed to alleviating hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world.

In an interview with E! News, Jolie said: “As of this week, over a billion children are out of school worldwide because of closures linked to coronavirus.
"Many children depend on the care and nutrition they receive during school hours, including nearly 22 million children in America who rely on food support.
"No Kid Hungry is making resolute efforts to reach as many of those children as possible."
Other American stars who have pledged to help those suffering hunger and poverty due to the coronavirus include Rihanna and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who have donated millions to several charities.
In South Africa, musician and medical doctor, Dr Tumi, volunteered his services at one of the most disadvantaged hospitals in the country - Tembisa Hospital.

Other celebrities that have donated to help the country better deal with the coronavirus are Johann Rupert and Nicky Oppenheimer. They donated R1-billion each to the government.
