"It never goes away" - AKA says he is doing his best with the "gift and opportunity of life" four months after Nelli Tembe's death.
AKA continues to mourn his late fiancée, Anele 'Nelli' Tembe. The 22-year-old died in April after falling from the 10th storey of a hotel in Cape Town.
AKA remembered Nelli on the four-month anniversary of her death.
"Four months to this day… it never goes away. Everyday I pray for her, myself and our families. I will never be the same person I was … but I will do the best I can with the gift and opportunity of life that I still have left. Thank You to everyone who has stuck by me and our respective families … you know who you are."

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Nelli's death. The National Prosecuting Authority revealed last month that it has sent the docket back to the police for further investigation.
The NPA said this is "standard for all matters" where a person dies of unnatural causes. The case is still under investigation.
AKA spoke about the day Nelli died during an interview with TV anchor Thembekile Mrototo in May. He said she threatened to jump off the balcony moments before she died.
“…I went to the bathroom and when I came out of the bathroom, she was not in the room. I look around and she’s not there. I went to the balcony and looked down at the street and that’s where she was,” he recalled.

One month after the interview, the 'Cross My Heart' hitmaker remembered Nelli.
"Father's Day was very difficult for me. Difficult because as much as I have lost you, as a father I cannot even imagine what it feels like to lose a child, especially someone as amazing as you. This is the last picture I took of you, and this is how I choose to remember you," he wrote.
